Goliath stood three metres tall
And called abuse on the troops of Saul,
“Send out a man to fight with me,
And if he wins, then you’ll go free!”
Stand in the Lord,
Dare to do right,
Dare to believe him,
Stand in his might!

The Israelites were terrified.
“It is our God he has defied,”
Said David, “What a great disgrace!
This cursing giant I will face!”
So David went with bag and stick
And catapult. Five stones he picked.
Just one stone shot Goliath dead –
The Philistines turned round and fled!
