Snake spoke for Satan
In the happy garden zoo.
He said to eat forbidden fruit
Would make them wiser, too.
So Eve picked one and ate it;
Adam took some from his bride -
It made them feel so bad and sad
They ran away to hide.
"Adam, Eve, where are you?
Whatever have you done?
Go out from your garden zoo -
Those happy days are done!"
God had to close it down,
That happy garden zoo -
It couldn't keep on going
With the disobedient two.
So sweat and toil and pain were there,
A heavy price to pay.
The life the loving God has planned
Would come another way.
