Love one another, for love comes from God,
living and sharing and walking the road,
caring and giving, true to the end,
making and building, companion and friend.
Love is devotion, a light for our way;
love is a healing, a balm for our day;
love is fulfilling and making us whole,
knitting together in body and soul.
Love overflowing when the Son of God came,
bearing our brokenness, taking our shame,
so that, forgiven, our loving might be
new and renewing, abundant and free.
Lover eternal, come with us to stay;
guard us and guide us each step of the way;
bind us together, held by your love,
growing in loving, your faithfulness prove.
