We could not see beyond our own needs and worries
Till the news of Jesus’ cross we heard.
Then Jesus gave us life and he gave us sight
Of love and beauty in his world.
We’ll open up our eyes to the Saviour!
We’ll open up our eyes to his Word!
We’ll open up our eyes to the world that he loves!
Glory to his name!
We’re on the way that Jesus the Saviour leads us
As we daily listen to his call.
He’ll take and make us now into his own people
Moving onward, not to fall.
We’re in the world that took Jesus to the cross -
It’s the world for which his life he gave.
He calls us now in love to his love and service
World in darkest hour to save.
